Dropped my ipod touch 3g in the toilet? how to fix?

i was washing my hand so i put the itouch on the toilet and when i tried to grab it it fell into the toilet but i managed to grab the earphone real fast, so it was basically only in there for a second, when i took it out the music was still playing, but the screen was white but you can still faintly see the background. the thing was the touchscreen was unresponsive and when i tried to turn it off but it actually wouldnt turn off but just kept restarting (whenver it would restart and such i still saw the apple logo through the white screen). so i dried it with a paper towel then got a blowdryer and tried to dry it for about 5-10 mins,(eventually the ipod somehow just turned off) then i put it in a bag of rice. its been about 12 hours since this happened. can someone please tell me if my itouch will still work? thank you
