Had a miscariiage a month ago but test saying positive?

I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks on april 23 and have been having unprotected sex. i took a pregnancy test and it came out positive but faintly. i went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago and they said my pregnancy hormones were pretty much gone. could i be pregnant again or is it the hormones from my other pregnancy. please help.
