What kind of DJ Disco lighting would be good for my room?

I have a 10x30 Storage unit that my 4 piece band practices in. I like to influence creativity but I have had a hard time finding the right mood lighting for it. I have been looking at disco balls, laser lights, strobe lights but I don't want to buy a piece of junk that isn't going to light the place faintly I want powerful lights but for a lower cost. Does anyone have suggestions or could inform me which lights work well and which ones don't? As well as some viable options less then $100 that would fill the 10x30ft space with powerful lights that express mood and creativity without the need for large wall mounts? Thank you!
