A question about smoke proximity to Pok�mon cards?

I want to show my nephew my Pok�mon cards, but first I have to go to my father's house. He and my step-mother smoke. My cards will be in binders, zipped up in a bag on a floor upstairs from where they smoke, but it still smells faintly of smoke there. Should I keep my cards away from the house altogether? I know that smoke damage can potentially leave a yellow film on things.
